BrightBlinds
This is a neat idea…but I’ve seen it 25 years ago…back then it was florescent lights hidden behind louvered windows in a normally dark basement.
Now this design from

Made of electroluminescent (EL) sheets, Makoto Hirahara’s Bright Blind simulates a window where none exists.
In all other respects, the artificial blind functions in exactly the same way as a regular blind - ie turning the plastic stick controls the brightness, etc.

Umbrella Today - Free Weather Service

Umbrella Today is as simple as it gets…type in your zip and the site will reveal whether or not you should bring an umbrella. But wait, there’s more….you can also sign up for text message alerts that let you know the next time you might get wet (for your zip). And of course you can also schedule when you’d like weather reports text’ed to your phone (hint: like maybe just before you leave the house each day)

This looks like a neat service. Design a model in 3D and have it built for you in a matter of days.
OMG a handheld tripod. Not a bad idea, but would be great if it could split into a normal tripod as well

Holy Utility Knife Batman! - Flock is really nifty!
I’ve been learning about various social networking and bookmarking tools and there are so many !
It’s great that a tool can bring them all together into one user interface.
Flock is a browser based on Firefox that seems to interact with just about every social networking tool I use (facebook, digg, delicious, even this blog post is written from a flock plugin)
The only problem I have found so far is with Ma.gnolia.com it keeps thinking I have entered the wrong password
